Eastern Cape has third highest number of voters

Of the +29-million registered voters in South Africa for the forthcoming Local General Elections (LGE), the Eastern Cape Province has the third highest number with 313 797 voters.

KwaZulu-Natal province has the highest number of registrations at 427 592, followed by Gauteng Province with 314 856.

These figures are according to the Voters Roll stats released yesterday to the media by the IEC Electoral Commission after the final election weekend ending 2 August.
