Stop Press! Edited by St Francis Chronicle: Two police officers, a man a woman, were shot this afternoon, 22 April, at about 4.30 pm in the New Brighton area of East London, in Ngangelizwe.
The pair were shot while returning home from duty. The policeman died at the scene and the policewoman is in a critical condition in hospital. Prayers for the family and friends of two cops, who are from the Madeira Detective Unit in Mthathahe.
The names of the officers will be released as soon as next-of-kin notification is completed. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS App.
