A 23 year-old man handed himself over to the Kirkwood police in the Eastern Cape this morning after his wife allegedly died from being assaulted last night, 28 May.
The man surrendered to police at 3 am after his wife did not wake up. It is alleged the suspect and his 35-year-old wife had a quarrel late last night in their Aqua Park, Kirkwood, home, during which the assault occurred.
Kirkwood SAPS have opened a case of murder. The suspect will appear in the Kirkwood Magistrate’s Court on 31 May on a murder charge.
