A 49 year-old man died after being overpowered and stabbed by unknown assailants in Kruisrivier, Uitenhage yesterday morning, 3 May.
According to Lt Gerda Swart of the Uitenhage SAPS, the incident happened at 10 am when it is alleged the murdered man found some men busy dismantling parts from old vehicles. It is suspected they were stealing the parts from a business in G4 Kruisrivier.
The suspects overpowered the man, stabbed him in the neck fled.
Police, with the assistance of the Uitenhage K9, are currently searching the bushes for the suspects. No arrests as yet.
