A brazen burglar made off with several valuable items while the house occupants on Humansdorp were in the braai room woth friends last night, 17 February.
A case of theft was opened by the SAPS Humansdorp after a suspect allegedly entered an open front door and helped himself to various valuable items, such as cell phones, Ipad, purses, handbags, cash etc, at a residential home in Queen Street, Humansdorp.
The homeowner noticed the suspect at about 7.40 pm in the evening on 17 February. He was wearing a black and grey hoodie top and fled from the scene when he saw the homeowners.
The homeowner told St Francis Chronicle the theft occurred while she was with friends in the braai room. When the man was spotted he fled. “I have to say the police were absolutely amazing,” she said.
The police are investigating a case of theft and are following up on all possible leads.

Meanwhile there was also break-in last night in Esmeralda Road in Santarmeme, St Francis Bay. The house was occupied and access was gained through an open bathroom window . A cell phone was stolen. Two men were spotted, but they fled.
