The SAPS Jeffreys Bay is investigating an inquest after a 45-year-old man was found lying next to the road in St Francis Street, Jeffreys Bay, this morning.
Reports on social media said the man had been struck by lightning in the big electrical storm last night, 17 February, but the SAPS says the exact cause of death cannot be determined and the police has to wait for the outcome of the post mortem.
The next-of-kin must be informed before the SAPS can furnish any media house with the particulars, the SAPS say.
