A married couple were arrested at their house in St Francis Drive on 11 September after being found in possession of about R50 000 worth of dagga plants.
The arrest followed a tip off by George police in the Western Cape. George cops, together with an SAP local dog unit and accompanied by Captain du Toit of St Francis Bay SAPS, raided the house.
Opening the garage, the group found all the dagga plants growing in different sized pots. They also found treated dagga and dagga making equipment.
The couple, whose children were at school at the time, were arrested for possession of drugs . They were later released on bail of R5000 each.
They will appear in court later this month.
