St Francis Bay bottle store robbed

Breaking

The Blue Bottle Liquors in St Francis Drive was robbed by daring thieves last night who broke in through the roof and made off with at least R10 000 worth of liquor and cigarettes.

The intruders also attempted to open the safe without success.  Shelves had huge gaps on them where liquor had been removed and the cigarette cabinet had been opened and most of the cigarette cartons had been stolen.

According to Mark Schwitter of Blue Bottle Liquors, previously trading as St Francis Bay Liquor Store, the thieves pulled all the power cables out of the wall and his c/cTV system was shut down at 6.30 pm last night.  He only discovered the theft when he came to work this morning.

It appears the robbers also left through the roof. The St Francis Bay SAPS were at the scene this morning investigating the incident.

A R10 000 reward has been offered to anyone who can provide any information about this incident to the local SAPS
