Police stations in the Humansdorp cluster have arrested more than 139 suspects over last weekend as part of operation ‘paseka’.
This announcement follows an earlier SAP release on Monday this week (23 March) that said police from SAP stations within the Uitenhage cluster had arrested more than 67 suspects in the past three days – also as part of Operation ‘paseka’.
The Humansdorp cluster arrests made in the same time frame (between 20 –23 March) were for house break-ins, theft, robbery, rape, theft, assault, illegal possession of drugs, the possession of suspected stolen property, etc.
Warrant officer Gerda Swart from SAP Corporate Communications Uitenhage said the SAP members of the Humansdorp cluster will continue their efforts to combat crime effectively in their station areas.
