A 56 year-old fisherman sufferng from suspected dehydration was evacuated off a chokka boat offshore of St Francis Bay today and taken to hospital.
NSRI said that at 1 .30 pm on 29 December 2014, the NSRI St Francis Bay dispatched its Sea rescue craft Spirit of St Francis II to the chokka fishing boat Bridgette, 13 nautical miles off-shore.
On arrival the fisherman was found to be in a stable condition and was taken to Port St Francis from where a private ambulance transported him to hospital.
