NSRI St Francis Bay evacuate fisherman with injured ribs

St Francis Bay duty crew assisted in bringing an injured fisherman on board a chokka bot to shore after he fractured his ribs.

The NSRI says that it responded at 10 am today, 26 December to a call from the chokka boat, Cabamba, off-shore of St Francis Bay private harbour, to assist the fisherman..

While at fishing grounds off Tsitsikama near Plettenberg Bay, the  boat experienced rough seas causing the 25 year-old fisherman to fall out of his bunk bed and to  fracture his ribs. The injured man was brought to shore and an ambulance have transported him to hospital in a stable condition.
