The St Francis Bay Residents’ Association says:
“It was stated by Kouga Municipality that the bridge would be closed at 7 am tomorrow, Wednesday 5 December and re open at 5 pm. .
“Nigel Aitken of the St Francis Bay Residents Association spoke to the contractor and explained that this was too early for visitors from B&Bs and trucks to enter and exit in time. The contractor promised to keep the road open until 8 am to accommodate us.
“We have also been told that there will be pedestrian access.”
The bridge is being closed because the temporary gravel road across the bridge is going to be tarred during 8 am – 5 pm.
