Proposed Thyspunt Transmission Lines Integration Project
The following announcement has been received from Sivest, the environmental consultants for the proposed Thyspunt Transmission lines, by St Francis Chronicle: (Please note that this announcement pertains to ‘the proposed Transmission Lines’ only and not to the proposed siting of the power plant at Thyspunt).
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA): PROPOSED THYSPUNT TRANSMISSION LINES INTEGRATION PROJECT (TTLIP) (DEA REF NOS:12/12/20/1211; 12/12/20/1212 and 12/12/20/1213)
In terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) as amended and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, under Government Notices No R385, R386 and R387 of 21 April 2006, Section 24 (5) read with Section 44 of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No. 107 of 1998), the public is hereby notified that the Revised Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) will be made available in hard copy for review and comment at the venues below.
REVIEW PERIOD OF THE REVISED DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
The public is hereby notified that the Revised DEIR will be made available for review and comment from Friday 21 September 2012 to Wednesday 31 October 2012 (end of business) at the venues below. The document will also be available on the SiVEST website (http://www.sivest.co.za/Download.aspx then browse to the folder “9520 – Eskom Thyspunt EIA”) and CD / DVD (on written request).
