Sand River Bridge likely to be opened by 2 pm today
Informed sources say that if all goes according to plan – and weather permitting – the new temporary bridge over the Sand River should be completed by the Roads Department contractors by 2 pm today.
Meanwhile Theo Stead of the Caltex Service station says it will be another day or two, before fuel supplies can go across the bridge. “We still have sufficient fuel till Monday, due to R100 restriction per vehicle.”
