The Mandela Bay Film Festival, named after wprld renown and loved Nelson Mandela, has received overwhelming response this year.
It is going to be bigger and better and will be held in November this year. The Steering committee reports the launch of the festival’s 2026 campaign led to great reaction from film makers, institutions, and industry stakeholders across the Eastern Cape and beyond. They have expressed interest in participating and collaboration in this event.
This will lead to significantly broadening the programme and to creating a festival more inclusive, representative and impactful, the committee says. To prepare for this growth, the festival will now take place in November 2026. (The Festival was originally scheduled for 1 -20 September).
