Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp SAPS swiftly arrested an 18-year-old man found in possession of R5k worth of drugs at Calata Street, Ocean-view in Jeffrey’s Bay on 7 July.
The SAPS says yesterday says yesterday, acting on info received, the SAPS searched the premises where they found and confiscated narcotics including crystal methamphetamine (Tik) and methaqualone (Mandrax) with an estimated street value of R5k+
The Humansdorp Crime Intelligence Unit was first to act on a tip-off it received about suspected drug-dealing activities in the Jeffrey’s Bay area. The info was immediately operationalised together with Jeffrey’s Bay Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) and the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) and a search warrant secured was executed at the identified premises.
The 18 year old man, was found in possession of the illicit drugs and was immediately arrested for dealing in drugs under Section 5 of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act of 1992. He is due to appear before the Humansdorp Magistrate’s court soon.
