Missing skipper: Alleged suspect expected to be deported from Maputo to SA this week

The alleged suspect, sought by police in Sodwana and in Mozambique in connection with the disappearance of skipper, John Matambu, and currently in police custody in Maputo, is expected to be deported to South Africa this week. The SAPS and Mozambique police and government authorities are working to facilitate the process

This is according to a family letter of thanks which told us yesterday in a WA: “It is unbelievable what power a group of people can have when they pull together to become valuable resources. “Firstly, we would like to say thank you.

“Thank you to each and every one of you who have persistently followed Matambu’s story, and who have continued to send in tips, sightings and information that has been used to get us to where we are today. Words will never explain how grateful we are for your efforts.”

“We have been told by authorities that over the next couple of days the correct legal processes and paperwork have to be followed in order to secure a successful outcome. We must give the authorities the time required in order to arrive at the truth,” the family statement added.

Sadly John Matambu is currently still missing. His whereabouts are currently still unknown.

More updates are expected from the family soon.
