St Francis soccer player needs help for soccer trials

By Bev Mortimer Khanyisa Mofu, a St Francis Bay youth who has been playing for the local United Football Club, has been selected to take part in the final elimination trials for the prestigious Dana Cup in Denmark.
Khanyisa, 15 years-old, from the Sea Vista suburb, is one of 30 U/17 soccer players, who will attend the trials. If he is chosen as one of the final 18 players, he will be able to travel to Denmark. His confident coach, Juju, also from Sea Vista suburb says that at the camp attendees will play, practice and acquire skills necessary to perform their best at the Dana Cup.
The selection prelims will take place at the Chapman Hotel and Conference Centre in PE. He needs to leave for PE for the weekend trials on Friday, 17 March and will return to St Francis Bay on 19 March.
For next week’s trials he needs a sum of R2,000 rand for accommodation, food and travelling costs. Any charitable folk who can help Khanyisa financially is asked to contact his coach Juju on 083 588 0856.
