Violence flared up in Oceanview, Jeffreys Bay, early this morning.
Tyres were allegedly brunt and there was a taxi strike . Police are on the scene and monitoring the situation.
Captain Gerda Swart of the Uitenhage SAPS, under which Kouga falls for media reports, said community members were allegedly closing roads with burning tyres in Oceanview this morning. The fire brigade managed to extinguish the fires and the roads are open again.
Early reports from an eye witness this morning said that a taxi was burnt. Captain Swart, however, said no taxi was burnt.
