A man was shot by hijackers in the Uitenhage area on 16 June last week.
The incident happened after the man had parked VW Polo in his garage in Kwanobuhle around 9.45 pm. Captain Gerda Swart of the Uitehage SAPS, under which cluster Kouga falls for media comment, said the man was walking to close the gate of the property when three men approached and demanded the car keys.
When he refused he was shot in the left leg. The men then fled.
Kwanobuhle SAPS have opened a case of hijacking and attempted murder. The hijacking task team are following up on leads.
