Three suspects were arrested for the murder of Fabian Goeda from St Francis Bay earlier this month and were denied bail.
The 19 year-old Fabian, from the Sea Vista suburb, was found dead in Humansdorp on Sunday, 8 May.
The arrests in connection with his death, were revealed, on enquiry, by Lt Gerda Swart of the Uitenhage SAPS Communications. On 10 May 2016 Xolani Sinxo (21) and Zolani Qina (24) were arrested in Humansdorp, she said.
Both appeared in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder the next day. The case was remanded and the pair remain in custody.
Then on 20 May Thembalihleli Ngangelizwe (21) was arrested and appeared in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court on 23 May. He appeared again in the same court on Monday this week for bail application. Bail was denied and he remains in custody.
The case was remanded until, 17 June for further investigation. All three remain in custody.
Swart said news of the arrest of the first two suspects was not revealed until the third suspect was arrested as the police were still following up on leads.
