Six people died after the driver of a For54d Bantam bakkie allegedly lost control of his vehicle in Thornhill yesterday, 3 January.
The accident happened at 3.50 pm when the vehicle swerved off the road and crashed into bushes alongside the R102.
According Gerda Swart of the SAP Uitenhage district Communications, Thornhill SAP are investigating a case of case of culpable homicide There were nine people from Thronhill in the vehicle.
Six passengers passed away on the scene and three were taken to hospitals in Humansdorp and PE. Victims are believed to be between 18-40 year-old. The names of the victims of victims will be released after next of kin was informed.
