A 36 year-old Jeffreys Bay police woman was found shot dead early this morning, 26 November, at her house after apparently having a heated argument with her security guard husband.
Jeffreys Bay police were summoned to the house in Strelitzia Street after shots were heard at about 6.40 am . They found their colleague, who was off duty, and her husband dead from gunshot wounds in their home. The SAPS are investigating an Inquest docket and a case of murder.
The names of the deceased will be released after their next-of-kin have been informed of their death.
Police in Jeffreys Bay are mourning the death of one of their colleague. The Cluster Commander of Humansdorp, Brigadier Neil Jantjies said: “We are still in shock and very sad about the loss of own of our members under very tragic circumstances.
“We express our deepest condolences to their families, friends and colleagues. Our hearts go out to their loved ones and we will remember them in our prayers”.
