Eastern Cape Construction summit in PE this month

The Eastern Cape is gearing up for its first construction summit on 26 March 2015 at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium.

The public is invited to attend and enjoy a day of speeches by accomplished members of the South African construction industry from at 7 am onwards. 

Jordan Mann CEO of Nu Way holdings a property development project management and facilities management will speak about the construction business and how Nu-Way Housing Developments (Pty) Ltd  has been active in the marketplace since 1986 with its primary aim to promote and facilitate the provision of affordable and low-cost housing to South Africa’s low-income earners. As a member of the Nu-Hold Group, it is in a position to take its offering to more low-income earning South Africans.

Mandla Mdwara president of Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber and Business development director of LN Manufacturing will be talking about Project Mtombo the developing oil refinery at Coega that will supply oil to cities throughout South Africa.

Representatives from Transnet and Coega will also be attending at the summit informing the delegates about upcoming developments and how they plan on creating more jobs in the Eastern Cape and where the opportunities in the construction industry lie.

The construction summit is not only about educating those interested in the construction and those working in the industry, the summit will also be giving a platform for Project Sparkle, a volunteer project co-coordinated by non-profit organisation WezMeth, that renovates outbuildings at Port Elizabeth’s public hospitals. They will inform the public about the work they do and how the public can get involved in volunteering or sponsoring.
