Humansdorp police detectives are investigating a case of attempted murder by two high school pupils.
This follows the alleged stabbing of another Humansdorp high school pupil by fellow learners, Warrant Officer, Basil Seekoei, SAP Corporate Communication, said.
Apparently there was an argument in the bus which they travelled on, on the morning of 27 February 2015 just before 8 am.
Seekoei said the 18-year-old pupil, at Nico Malan, sustained stab wounds to the upper body. He laid a charge at the Jeffreys Bay police station on 28 February
The suspects, a 16 and a 17 year-old, will appear before the Humansdorp magistrate today, on 4 March 2015, to determine their criminal capacity. “A report will be compiled by a social worker to determine if the suspects will appear in a criminal court or if they need to go to the children’s court. Both suspects are in the care of their parents,” Seekoei said.
