Gale force south-westerly winds of 62km/h is expected between Cape St. Francis and Kosi Bay according to the Mossel Bay Weather Observation.
Its weather report also mentions high seas with waves heights from 6-7 m that are expected between Lamberts Bay and East London spreading to Kosi Bay by the afternoon.
Waves are expected to subside along the west coast in the morning and along the south coast by the late afternoon.
Also disruptive snowfalls are expected over the high – lying areas of the Eastern Cape as well as the extreme south – western parts of KwaZul -Natal.
Other reports are of road closures in various parts of the Eastern Cape such as on the R67.
