All Kouga communities are invited to connect with government this week at two big imbizos.
The imbizos, set to take place at Hankey and Humansdorp, will open with a must-see accident-scene demonstration by fire and emergency services operating in the Kouga region.
The programme will further include mobile services, presentations, exhibitions and an opportunity for communities to ask questions and give comment on government programmes being run in Kouga.
The first imbizo will take place on Thursday, 21 August, from 10am at the Hankey Sportsfield. The event is aimed at all residents from the Gamtoos area, including the towns of Patensie, Hankey, Loerie and Thornhill.
The second imbizo will take place on Friday, 22 August, from 10am at the Humansdorp Country Club field. The event is aimed at all residents from the coastal area, including the towns of Jeffreys Bay, Humansdorp, St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis and Oyster Bay.
Kouga Municipal Manager, Sidney Fadi, said the imbizos would be presented by the municipality in conjunction with provincial and national departments.
