J-Bay Open on Standby 

The J-Bay Open is on stand by today, 15 July 2014.

Lay days have been called for today and tomorrow and event organisers will reconvene at 7:00 a.m. local time (GMT +2) on Thursday 17 July.

Just six hours of competition are required to determine the 2014 J-Bay Open champion and Surfline.com, the official forecaster for the event, has predicted that solid overhead waves will fill in at Jeffreys Bay later in the week. 

When competition resumes the first heat of Round 5 will feature Josh Kerr (AUS) against Adriano de Souza (BRA) with the winner advancing to the Quarterfinals.

J-Bay Open Round 5 Match-Ups:

Heat 1: Josh Kerr (AUS) vs. Adriano de Souza (BRA)

Heat 2: Kolohe Andino (USA) vs. Taj Burrow (AUS)

Heat 3: Gabriel Medina (BRA) vs. C.J. Hobgood (USA)

Heat 4: Mick Fanning (AUS) vs. Fredrick Patacchia (HAW)
