Surfer breaks his neck at Seal Point

A 42 year-old surfer from Johannesburg was dumped by a huge wave at Seal Point two days ago and broke his neck.

The injured man, who was on holiday with his family in St Francis, was helped out of the water by family members. Fortunately a passing medical doctor walking on the beach realised what had happened so he attended to the man on the spot and also called an ambulance.

The surfer is now in  a stable condition but is due to undergo surgery in the hospital tomorrow.
