Electricity down in two St Francis areas

The electricity supply to two sections of St Francis Bay has been interrupted. Details below:

1) The electricity supply to the St Francis industrial area has been interrupted due to a cable fault. A temporary cable is being installed to restore power to sections of the area today.  Kouga Municipality aims to have the electricity fully restored by tomorrow morning, 22 September 2012.

2) A high-tension cable end at a substation i St Francis Bay has fused, leaving the Marina Village without electricity. The municipality is busy with repairs. The power will be restored in about three hours.

The municipality says it apologises to residents and businesses for the inconvenience.
