45 year-old man dies from heart attack on chokka boat

NSRI St Francis Bay assisted in retrieving the body of man who died of a heart attack on board a chokka boat off-shore of Oyster Bay, St Francis, this morning.

Marc May, NSRI St Francis Bay station commander, says at 11.12 am NSRI St Francis Bay volunteer sea rescue duty crew were activated following reports of a male suffering a suspected heart attack aboard the chokka fishing boat, Galaxy.

“Our NSRI St Francis Bay volunteer sea rescue duty crew launched our sea rescue craft Spirit of St Francis II accompanied by a 24/7 ambulance service paramedic. Oon arrival on-scene it was confirmed a male, aged 45, had died of a heart attack.

“The body of the man was brought to our sea rescue base and handed into the care of the Forensic Pathology Services.”
