The SAPS has confirmed they have opened an inquest following the unnatural death of a 4 year-old child, reported to have occurred in Loerie, in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
It is alleged that yesterday, 13 November, at about 4 pm, the little boy and his cousin were walking through an open field near a demolished retail store when the little boy touched an uncovered electrical wire that shocked him. The boy was rushed to Humansdorp Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The SAPS says the investigation is ongoing.
