Profiles of Ward 2 By-Election Candidates in Kouga

All eyes will soon be on the Ward 2 by-election elections later this month.

The Ward 2 by-election in the municipal region of Kouga in the Eastern Cape area of South Africa has caused as much interest and trepidation as national municipal elections. This is because there is much to lose or gain.
Many in Kouga are hopeful their party will win, and fear if they won’t. But at the end of the day it is the community, the actual residents, that is the voters, who need to deal with the chosen ‘candidate’ for the next term and not with the party.
Voters want and need to know they have chosen suitable candidates, who or which one can do a councillor’s job successfully. Community members asked about the background of the candidates.
There are four candidates standing, and three of them sent in their answers to a lengthy questionnaire and met the deadline.
But the PA did not meet the deadline even though they were reminded they ‘would miss out’ if they declined.
After newspaper copies were printed this week and were busy being folded yesterday, the PA suddenly wished to be included. Sadly, it was too late.
Here are the profiles of three candidates
