Driver dies and three passengers injured in accident on Oyster Bay Rd

Edited: The SAPS yesterday, 13 October, opened a Culpable Homicide case after the driver allegedly lost control of a truck when the brakes failed and the truck overturned killing himself and seriously injured three passengers. The SAPS attended to to the scene at about 3.15 pm

The SAPS also said the truck had been travelling on the Oyster Bay Road about 3,15 pm to offload at one of the farms. The injured passengers were taken to Humansdorp Hospital for medical treatment.

Another serious accident was also reported to have occurred  on the R330 road between St Francis Bay  and Humansdorp on the S-bend, after the dip on the on the Humansdorp side, at about 1.30 pm yesterday.  An eye witness reported a body in the road at the accident scene.
