Murder case of Hdorp pupil postponed to next week

Arriving for the murder case of the Humansdorp matric pupil many people were disappointed this morning, 2 October, as straight away the case was postponed to next week, 9 October.
This follows the brutal stabbing to death of Liyolo Wakweni, aged 18, at Humansdorp Secondary High School. SAPS said about 8:15 am on 23 September a violent altercation occurred at the school among learners. Wakweni was stabbed by a group of boys repeatedly and died at the scene.
The boys absconded leaving Wakweni dead at the scene. The boys were were later traced after an SAPS investigation and were apprehended by security guards and the SAPS, and taken into custody last month .
The two elder boys , aged 17-18, appeared in the A court on 25 September before Magistrate Agherdien and Faith Booysen, the public prosecutor. The four younger boys aged 16-17, appeared in a private court with their parents.
The names of the boys, who are of legal age, were given at court on 25 September as being Gregan Stevans,18, and Lathita Buzani,18. They indicated that day that that they will apply for legal aid from the Legal Aid Board. They appeared before Magistrate Agherdien and Faith Booysen, the public prosecutor. The state prosecutor indicated that she will oppose bail. The case was postpone to today.
This morning another big crowd led to to bigger court being found to accommodate the large numbers o people interested in the case, including the media but the case was postponed to next week.
