KM offers a reward of R10k

Kouga municipality has offered a reward of R10 000 for info leading to the successful arrest and prosecution of those responsible for vandalising municipal infrastructure, a municipal notice announced this morning.

The municipality says “deliberate sabotage” threatens the safety and well-being of the community and cannot be tolerated.
The notice says: “We urge residents to come forward with any information that can help bring these offenders to justice.”
Residents who have witnessed suspicious activities or possess any information regarding infrastructure damage are urged to contact Senior Law Enforcement Official, Johnny Hayward, at 081 322 7399.
“All reports will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and the identities of informants will be fully protected.”
Kouga Local Municipality is facing a serious and escalating crisis due to the ongoing vandalism and theft of municipal infrastructure.
“This is not just a municipal issue – it is a community issue, and we all have a role to play in stopping it,” the municipality maintains.
