Three men died from multiple gunshot wounds to their bodies and multiple open wounds to their head last night in Fairview, Gqeberha, in the Eastern Cape and in a separate incident another man was found dead from alleged assault in Walmer location.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects. The SAPS Provincial Serious and the Violent Crime unit in Gqeberha opened a murder investigation following the fatal shooting incident that occurred at a Fairview residence in Orego Street.
SAPS Walmer responded to a complaint at approximately 9.47 pm last night on 13 August and found the fence broken and the lounge window was shattered. Upon inspection inside they found the bodies of three men in the bedroom
The motive for the murders remains unknown. No arrests have yet been made. The police appeal to the public for any information that could assist in the investigation.
The names of the deceased will be released once the next of kin have officially identified them.

* In another, earlier murder investigation in Walmer location in PE last night, SAPS Walmer received a complaint of an assault next to a tavern in G-west Walmer Location at about 7.19 pm. On arrival at the residence they found the body of 25 year-old man with visible wounds to his face and head.
SAPS Walmer detectives opened a murder investigation following the fatal incident. At this stage, the motive for the attack remains unknown, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
