A St Francis Bay man from the suburb of Sea Vista was “shocked and then died while trying to make an illegal connection,” SAPS Captain Marius McCarthy said.
He further related the SAPS received a report at about 8 pm last night, 15 July, that a man had been electrocuted in Steenbras Street . Upon arrival the police found the body of the 42 year-old who was certified dead by EMS.
The man was busy tampering with a transformer to make an illegal connection.
McCarthy says the investigation is on-going and the SAPS has opened an inquest docket.
