The SAPS in the Eastern Cape (EC) of South Africa have launched a manhunt to trace the suspect/s responsible for the murder, robbery, and possible rape of an elderly woman aged 102 at Bawa Location outside Butterworth in the EC.
The incident occurred during on the night of 2 July. According to information available, it is alleged that the elderly woman was sleeping in a separate room when her house was burgled.
A forced entry through the window was discovered. On investigation the following morning, 3 June, the SAPS found the woman had injuries on her upper body.
Police are investigating cases of murder, rape and burglary residential. No arrest has yet been announced, as of today and investigations are still underway.
