Four arrested in Hdorp after R27.8k drug find

Edited by Bev Mortimer: Four people suspected of dealing in drugs were arrested by the SAPS who recovered illicit mandrax and tik drugs with an estimated street value of R27 800 on Wednesday this week.

On 11 December the Sarah Baartman District (SBD)  Intervention Team, the Makhanda Crime Intelligence Unit and Highway patrol members successfully executed an intelligence and sanctioned search operation in Humansdorp and Joubertina . The arrested suspects, aged 24-53, are due to appear before the Humansdorp Magistrate court on charges of dealing in drugs soon.

The District Commissioner applauded members involved for the good work done. “Intelligence driven operations continue to be successful in removing illicit drugs from the streets,” Major General, Zolani Xawuka, said. He also requests the public to provide the SAPS with info so the SAPS can free communities from illicit drugs.
