A man was arrested by the SAP St Francis Bay police this week after he was found in possession of goods stolen in Rebelsrus, near Oyster Bay in St Francis.
According to the St Francis Bay SAP, the arrest of the alleged culprit was made by Constable Norushu for ‘possible possession of stolen goods’. Following an investigation the stolen goods were linked to cases reported from Rebelsrus.
This area had been targeted for break-ins since April 2013. “Distraint was made on clothing, bedding and crockery to the value of ± R7000,” the SAP said.
The SAP requests that owners of stolen property in Rebelsrus come to the police station at St Francis Bay to identify their goods.
The Vispol Commander, Lt Swanepoel, thanks Constables Norushu and Mtenjana for their good work and for the arrests they made.
