A white man in his 30s died on a boat near the Kromme Bridge at about 8.40 pm last night, 29 December 2012
Earlier reports to the police by bystanders that the man had jumped or dived off the bridge are incorrect. Police have established that the man was on a boat which hit a sandbank on the Kromme River.
The young man died just after this incident. His body was taken away by the PE Mortuary.
It is believed he was a visitor to St Francis.
No other details can be established at this stage. An update will be released from the SAP H/O during business hours.
