Announcement: Owners of damaged property on the canals

Owners of homes that were badly damaged or totally destroyed in the fire have to, through their insurers, have their property inspected by a credited structural engineer who will provide them with a certificate of what needs to be done.

This was stated by the St Francis Bay Residents Association today.  The certificate must then be taken to the local St Francis Bay office of the municipality (Trevor de Groot) for a demolition certificate to be issued.
