This afternoon (10 November 2012) a seal that has been hanging around the Port for the last few days, decided to follow the St Francis Bay NSRI craft around .
It followed the boat for at least half an hour and was rewarded with a fish or two before tiring and going to look for more fish elsewhere.
The incident happened during the NSRI swimming race . The seal became an instant celebrity as people peered over the railings to get a glimpse of it.
