Kouga Municipality is putting the finishing touches to a walkway across the Sand River at St Francis. Expected time of completion is 8 pm.
The Department of Public Works will start repairs on the Sand River bridge asap and aim to have at least one lane open to traffic by Friday evening.

They are trying to fix the bridge this evening. if they succeed the bridge could be open by 9 pm tonight – if not before. Otherwise tomorrow sometime. Was there just now and the gravel road (one way traffic only is almost complete. However, there are no barriers and no lights in the vicinity.
