Travis Logie of Durban, South Africa advanced into round three of the Ripcurl Pro Portugal winning his round two heat yesterday.
Logie defeated American Damien Hobgood (USA) in a closely fought battle that saw the South African advance in first place with 10.94 to 10.27 (both out of 20.00).
The Rip Curl Pro Portugal is Stop No. 8 of 11 on the ASP World Championship Tour and includes the World’s Top 32 surfers plus two wildcards. Adriano De Souza (BRA) is the defending champion while Joel Parkinson (AUS) is the current ratings leader.
