Fly a kite at Granny’s pool on Saturday – all ages

People of all ages – young and old –  who love kite flying are invited to come and fly a kite  at Granny’s Pool at the Heritage Centre on 13 October from 11.30 am until 12.30 pm.

Get creative and make a kite these holidays with the kids and then bring them along (the kids and kites ) on Saturday 13 to fill the skies above Granny’s Pool with colour. No kids? No worries there will be plenty there and you can enjoy their fun too.

Prior to the kite making there will be a talk about birds from 10.30 – 11.30 am. Local bird expert Yvonne Bosman  will share her knowledge of birds with the kids.

The topic is Birds and thermals.  So from Kites of the feathered kind to kites of the paper kind its going to be a really fun morning. The Primary school learners will also get to create their own kite that morning at the Centre. Please note the kids remain the responsibility of their parents for the duration of the morning so they need to be accompanied by an adult.

Tiny Toots (kids under 5) are welcome to come down with their kites and parents between to fly their kites with the older kids.

Grannies and Grandpas are also welcome, so everyone is welcome to fly a kite this Saturday!
