The 100 meters in St Francis Drive before Romazini Road turn off is being repaired and slurried today.
This was stated by the St Francis Bay Residents’ Association (SFBRA) in a statement today (1 October 2012). The municipality intends to finish the slurrying of Lyme Road South before the weekend, it says.
“The intention is to stop further draining of the big dune pool behind Santareme to allow for siphoning of the small dam. Once this is completed an opening will be made to allow the water from the big dam to flow to the sea.
“Our daily updates will continue until Thursday this week. Nigel Aitken will be away on holiday for three weeks thereafter.
“As he is co-ordinator between the municipality staff and the SFBRA there will be no normal daily updates during this time. If anything is brought to the SFBRA’s attention it will of course be published.
In Nigel’s absence Ian Fynn has kindly offered to stand in for him. His contact number is 082-494-3777.
