
Humewood’s Jacques Colananni won the 15th Calamari Golf event at St Francis Bay Golf Club yesterday with his overall score of 114. Collananni with a handicap of 5 (2), played consistently over the three days and his fine methods won him a fantastic watch from Gabriel Jewellers, among other prizes.
He beat Garth Enslin (handicap of 13) who finished with 110 pts, followed by MJ de Bruyn with 110 pts and Andre Venter (handicap of 17) with 109 pts.
First lady winner overall was Dale Ball (handicap of 13) and a score of 93. She just pipped Heather Rabie, (handicap 30) and score of 93, to the post. Rabie was followed by Mandy Rossouw with 92 pts. Winner of the Old Man trophy was Norman Reilly with 109 pts.



The winner of the third day as Percy Owen from Zwartenbosch Golf Course with 40 pts, just ahead of Linda Muller, also with 40 pts. Owen won tickets to fly anywhere on the airline’s route.
The day’s main sponsor was Henry Tyler Ries and representatives from the company praised the organisation by all at St Francis Bay Golf Club and by Pikkie and his grounds staff for the great condition of the course.
The three days were marked with busy crowds on the golf course that was praised continuously for its excellent condition, plus a packed clubhouse in the evenings for prize giving.
The third overall winner was MJ De Bruyn with 110 pts, who also was placed third for the final day . For the final day only other placings were : 4th place: Grant Kendrick , 39, and 5th Louis de Villiers, 38.






At prize giving the clubhouse and grounds staff were praised again by the sponsors and they each received prizes including ‘the Major’ Janine.
