Draining the Santareme dam

Plans are being made to start the controlled draining of the large dune pool situated above Santareme.

This is according to the St Francis Bay Residents Association.

The pipes, generously supplied by SFB Riparian Homeowners, have been delivered to the site and are in the process of being connected.

The smaller dune pool, below the larger pool, will have a second pipe installed to syphon the water.

The blocked drainage pipe under St Francis Drive is to be removed, cleaned out and replaced to cater for this controlled flow of water.  While this repair work is being done the water is to be diverted to another drainpipe.

The pothole team are filling potholes in Aldabara Run.
